Who can be a member of the CFC board?
Any undergraduate student can be a member of CFC. Only two members of the same registered student organization may be on the Council at one time. CFC members are typically involved in a variety of campus activities, and have a working knowledge of the campus policies and procedures that relate to student clubs and organizations. CFC looks for students who have good interpersonal skills, have experience in program planning and who are interested in helping student organizations. Members should be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.2 GPA.

How are CFC members chosen?
After you submit an application, it will be reviewed by a selection committee. After review, you will be contacted for an interview time with the selection committee. Interviews will take place during February 21 through March 8. After individual interviews, you will be contacted for a final group interview which will take place in April 2006.

How many positions are currently open?
CFC will have thirteen board positions open. The term of the appointment shall be three quarters(Fall 2007-Spring 2008), with orientation taking place in Spring quarter 2007.

What is the time commitment?
CFC members typically spend between 12-20 hours per quarter (within a 9 day period) reviewing applications, interviewing group representatives, and allocating funds. The Council has one or two business meetings per quarter. Members are also asked to assist with application intake process each quarter. CFC is active only during the academic year.

What will CFC do for me?
In addition to gaining new friends, CFC members gain experience in group process, leadership development, financial management and decision making while serving a vital role on campus. The knowledge gained as a member of the CFC board will enhance your resume for future jobs, and give you a practical experience you can apply in various settings in the future. CFC will also give you the opportunity to learn more about the wide variety of groups that are active on the UC Davis campus.
