What is a Registered Student Organization? Every year, CSI registers around 500 student organizations on the UC Davis campus. It is through registration as a student organization that your group is recognized by the University. This entitles you and your group to a variety of services from CSI and other campus departments. Registration expires June 30 each year.
• The CSI Online Orientationacquaints you and your
group with the benefits and responsibilities that come with being
a registered student organization on campus. Either your president
or treasurer must complete the orientation. Contact CSI at 752-2027 if you would like to schedule an in-person orientation.
• A quiz will follow after you have completed the orientation. Be sure to enter the name of your president or treasurer, the group's proposed name, and a valid email address where the confirmation can be sent. Upon successful completion, you will be emailed a confirmation number, a copy of the student org resource guide, and an organization registration form in PDF format.
• Complete the registration form on your computer and email it to spac@ucdavis.edu. Print one (1) copy for your group's officers to sign and turn it in to the CSI office at 457 MU.
• New Agency Accounts: There is an annual fee of $35.00 for the Agency Account. For new accounts the fee must be paid to the CSI Business Office located at 6 Lower Freeborn prior to submitting your registration form along with proof of payment at the CSI office located at 457 Memorial Union. If you are re-activating an account you may verify that funds are available and the fee will be deducted from the account when your registration has been approved.
At this point in the process, our advisors review each registration application. This process usually takes three to five days. Once your application is reviewed, you’ll get an email about the status of your group.Following approval of your application, your group will be officially registered. Now you can celebrate, and take advantage of the all the perks that come with registration!
